New England Environmental

New England Environmental

New Construction
Amherst, Massachusetts

Designing for sustainability was especially important for New England Environmental as it is a LEED registered project. The finishes feature exposed parallel-strand wood columns and beams, bamboo flooring and cabinets, and No-VOC products. Natural light permeates the building through the use of interior windows, allowing for views to the outside from 95% of the interior spaces. In addition to allowing the passage of light, these interior windows, together with open work areas, two storey corridors, and open stairs, create spatial connections between the two floors unifying activity throughout the space.
