Kuhn Riddle Architects was first established in 1977. We are a studio of fifteen people located in the center of Amherst, Massachusetts. We are not a large firm, at least not in the way that ‘large’ is defined in urban settings. Nevertheless we aren’t small either—no firm in Western Massachusetts employs more licensed architects.
We provide architectural and interior design services to a diverse client base, including colleges and schools, individual families, churches, office, retail and multi-family developers, and municipalities.
We believe in design which has strong links to context and neighborhood, and which contributes to the sustenance of the planet.
We are good listeners. For us, design and construction are collaborative processes that succeed when all genuine stakeholders work together and have ownership of the finished product.
